Summary in english
This is the homepage of translator Leif Jacobsen!
I have been working as a translator since 1999 and translate from English and Danish into Swedish. In 2003, I translated my first novel and today I work only with books for various publishers – for children as well as adults – and have translated around
eighty books so far. I work mainly with fiction, often with a historic touch (e.g.
Conn Iggulden and
Bernard Cornwell), but also within myth, fantasy, and fairy tales. Furthermore, I translate contemporary literature, such as crime novels and
thrillers (
Jussi Adler-Olsen and Lee Child), as well as other novels. If I find the time, also journalistic texts, such as articles, reports, interviews, and portraits.
During 2003–2005, I was engaged as chief reviser for the retranslation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s
The Lord of the Rings by Swedish publishers Norstedts Förlag. Prior to that, I had received my Masters degree in English Literature and Language at Lund University.
I also write books for children and young adults. Please click

All the best!
